My passion for color, texture, and design stems from my love of history and experience of international culture. After I earned my Master’s at University of Chicago, I worked for the US Peace Corps, teaching and travelling throughout Eastern Europe. I went on to see the world, gathering inspiration and materials from which I began to craft fine jewels. I’ve learned seven languages, helping me communicate with artisans from all over the globe, including Russia, Mexico, and my family’s country of Greece.
Our line has been featured in over 300 fine boutiques and specialty stores in the US, Europe, and Canada, including Bloomingdale’s, Hall’s, and Oilily. I am a past Marshall Field’s Distinction in Design winner and FGI Rule Breakers award recipient.
Our pieces are on the red carpet- actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Vivica Fox, Keiko Agena, Olympia Dukakis, and Nia Vardalos are just a few who enjoy our work. Our pieces have appeared in such films as SHOPGIRL, and are worn by the fabulous anchorwomen of CNN, NBC, WGN and ABC Chicago, as well as FOX 5 in Washington, DC.
I am a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. Look for our upcoming Indiegogo campaign Adorn One World this March 2015!
I am a mother of four. I work alongside my husband, installation artist Mauricio Forero, in our joint studio outside Chicago in Naperville, IL.
